Invincible, now Xmen 97. Jesus you can tell some pretty amazing stories with this style.

what do you mean "Justice League style"? cuz, like....I wouldn't have considered Invincible to be comparable to what I remember DC stuff being when I was a kid.

I think kids would watch them, networks just don't like to do them.

And TC, you should check out The Legend of Vox Machina. It's fantasy instead of superheroes (based on a D&D campaign), but it's got the vibe I think you're talking about.

Greg Weisman used Young Justice to play in the toy box. He was given access to pretty much every DC character and he tried to use as many as he could.

He doesn't want to stop. He didn't want to make an ending to the Young Justice universe because he wanted it do go on forever. He wasn't looking at it as one narrative but a world with countless narratives.

Justice League kind of failed because CN was mostly watched by kids. And the DC characters were NOT interesting then. Superman was a straight-man. So was Wonder Woman. So was literally every hero. Flash was even mostly to a degree. The characters werent emotive enough for kids, and the stories werent able to be digestible for kids either.

Today, i think if they upped the edge factor, introduced real moral dilemnas (which is when DC is at its best) and stopped focusing on tired Batman or bland WW, then it would work. Actually, just reboot it and make everyone more interesting.

The animations have improved significantly too. Invincible is catching up with Anime in terms of quality action animations as well.
