I manage to finally get to 225ibs but can only do 3 reps.

I recommend after your warmup, hit your peak than drop to 85% and do 5 sets / 5 reps.

in shape and in my 20s I could do 185 comfortably

now 40 and pudgy af, I went 135 but thats a guess
Are we talking 1 rep or 5 rep maxes?

@Pow_Pow_Punishment pretty sure he is over 315
Less is more. Everything you want, isn't everything you need.

At the moment Im on 95kg, which is apparently 209 pounds.

It was more when I was younger.
I can push out a pretty gnarly fart. Not sure what that translates to for weight lifting.
Do, or do not. There is no Trumble.
My 1RM was 165, but I usually stick with sets of 135-145.

Tell me more about your program. How much warm up sets do you do? And how quickly do you reach your max?
How quaint.

I just begin with some stretches that target upperbody area
then bench with just the bar and then 60ibs.
After I'll hit my max and try to bang out as much a reps as I can. Then after I'll deload to 85% of max and do 5 sets 5 reps each with about 1-2 min rest in between.

Once I hit 5 reps on my max, I'll add 5-10ibs in weight.

He's all alone through the day and night.

225lbs isnt that much. For that to be at the top of the poll kind of negates the entire thing.

Anyhow, 405lbs prior to a recent injury. Looking to heal up and test the waters again. Itll probably be something near the 315 mark

Interesting. For the max, how many sets do you do? If I do my absolute max I can only do 1 rep lol.

You add 5 to everything?

What are you on about? 225 is a common goal. 400 is like bodybuilder level. Just making everyone feel bad since you're on the gas.
How quaint.

I'm out of practice. I might be able to put up 205 or settle for 185. At my peak I could do 225 twice so I was never that strong I just stayed at a consistent level
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.
At my absolute peak, I was able to get 300 1 time.

Now I'm old and pudgy.

Last I tried to max out was 255lbs like 2 years ago. Not long after that I suffered a moderate rotator injury and have not tried to max out since. I'm old and mostly bench at home, so I'm not trying to hurt myself.
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.
The most I bench alone is 165. I don't know what my 1RM is.

225 is a common goal. Which is why it should be in the middle of the poll.

It comes from back when basically all of the abbreviations were just Latin words. In this case "libra", which was the scale used to measure weight.

My FC is in my profile.
Right now, I'd guess 350. I've lost roughly 15 lbs since January to focus on boxing and I can definitely feel the decline in the powerlifts.

Last year when I was bulking, I did 380 without trouble but soon after failed 385, which I caught on video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Cn0oD1AR6s

I may look calm, but in my head, I've just killed you three times.
