why are you so emotional? are you incapable of having a conversation without cussing?
This is kinda silly. There should be space for both realistic and more stylistic characters. Imagine chun li without her iconic thunder thighs or Marcus Fenix without a big body and muscles. Fiction would be freaking boring if it tried to imitate real life all the time. MS can get fucked with this.
It wasnt put the best way, but I believe what they mean is it is not realistic to expect or pressure all women to look that way, or to portray all women in games that way.
The only very slightly annoying thing is when you can make a custom character, but they just have 3 hairstyles for black men. I just even bother making them and choose another race.
Exactly . Since my first paragraph talked specifically about models and unreasonable beauty standards that are documented to be harmful.
Nobody ever complains about male characters being above 6ft tall gigachads more often than not but if a woman is a buxom beauty suddenly there are entire thinkpieces written about why it's wrong. So tired of the nonsense. Women are allowed to be sexy in videogames, they are not real life.
This conversation is so fucking tired and played out I don't even want to go into details as to why there is a concentrated attack on femininity from these mega corporations and their minions. Anyone who denies it's happening is either intentionally dishonest or naive.
Another reminder that most women do not care about this
so that means every female character in every video game should look the same?Where'd I say that? I'm all for variety but we all know MS is implying what I stated would be exaggerated. Scarlet Johannson/Brie Larson and anything androgynous/muscular is probably the "normal" range for them. Someone like Christina Hendricks or Beyonc would probably be "exaggerated".
source? The only women you see complaining are the less then attractive, and never played a game in the series before ones that are only about their agenda.

you know what's relaxing? watching polygonal tits jiggle
It is a small subset of women who are pushing for ugly, manish, and butch women in gaming where most women are not for that.
The only women you see complaining are the less then attractive, and never played a game in the series before ones that are only about their agenda.Well, that's neckbeardy as fuck.
Where'd I say that?
*nothing that resembles a source*
k, got itNo, but you see he called everyone you agree with ugly. He is the Chad. You are supposed to cry and bow down to his majesty as the one true belief.
@NeonBoobsPurg'd + too low of Karma to post here. He's using another account right now.
But if you're in a setting where everything is absolutely ridiculous and over-the-top, it's fine to just make everyone hot. If your game has guys with ridiculous blue hair and fifteen belts, I really don't think people should be offended if they have an open shirt and toned chest. Similarly, if the women can teleport around throw kicks so fast their legs turn into blurs, I don't think there's really room to complain about an unrealistic bust size.Well, that's the thing; nobody is offended at the men being toned and open chested. It's only the women that are complained about and censored to a degree. Men can be ripped and shredded till the cows come home; nobody will complain. A woman being busty or thick thighs or plump all around? Suddenly, cries of "not realistic", male gaze (never mind women like this stuff too), offensive to women. And when you say anything against that, you're a "coomer"/porn addict.
people that have sexual attachments to videogame characters are weird af, especially if they are adults, but companies are also weird af if they are trying to police away certain representations/body types. the best solution is for game makers to make whatever they want and consumers to buy the products they want. policing the point of creation is just weird and trashy just like the horny gamer archetypeAzur Lane and games like it have proven if you make it to where people want to **** your characters then you will be given money. Obviously, you have to have inviting gameplay as well but sex sells and these games prove that. Being sexually attracted to VG characters is completely normal. It's only in the last few years where people are suddenly deeming it as weird or that you're a porn addict/coomer/.
why else would you bring it up?Why would I bring up a friend's body type that is relevant to how MS would deem as "exaggerated"?
@NeonBoobsHis alt is already in the topic. You think NihonOctopus would be anyone but Neon?

It's just a part of their guidelines designed to help developers make their games more inclusive. Nothing about it suggests it's mandatory.

It's only the women that are complained about and censored to a degree. Men can be ugly and lack any sex appeal till the cows come home; nobody will complain. A woman being fat or even slightly less than Aphrodite? Suddenly, cries of "sex erasure", male gaze (never mind men can also not be raging misogynists), offensive to men. And when you say anything against that, you're "removing all sexiness from all media ever" and "forcing everyone to be ugly."

she's the only kind that people want to exist in video games is a problem.Nobody had ever said this.
Nobody had ever said this.
Fun Fact: after having their post selectively targeted and marked, and catching a suspension, Zonbei is done with this place.Seriously?
Why are we driving good people out of the community?
Nobody had ever said this.People frequently complain when they think a woman isn't hot enough. Like how they complained about Aloy and the protagonist of the new Fable game.
UAZ and Riki immediately come to mind as people who've been flooding the thread with that take.So are we supposed to take chuds seriously or not?
So are we supposed to take chuds seriously or not?In the same way that we are supposed to take people who actively deny that others are able to read between the lines under the guise of "But that's not what they literally said!!!!"

In the same way that we are supposed to take people who actively deny that others are able to read between the lines under the guise of "But that's not what they literally said!!!!"Words have meaning. And that didn't answer the question.
Words have meaning.Yes, hence why people are able to read into them. It's highly reductive to act like people can't have a meaning hidden within words, a common tactic amongst the chud populace.
Wait what the heck. What did Zonbei post to get suspended?
