She was 24 when it happened. They were her superior officers. Her claims were substantiated by a third party investigator. Even if she were twenty-eight, they were her superior officers . They had power over her, and they used that power to get her to have sex with them. But it's truly no surprise to hear a man defend the actions of other men this case. When are we going to stop defending men like this, and stop blaming the victim?

So is this similar to when superior officers coerce the good cops into turning a blind eye to the bad shit other cops do? But ya know they are still bastards cause they didn't report it or quit the force. Cause it's the same with them with it just not being of a sex nature. They report it they likely will never work as a cop again and probably alot of other related career fields.

If they did coerce her though that is vile and fucked up. Haven't read the story yet but there are women in the force known as badge bunnies. Meaning they do it willingly to get preferential treatment.

She should have exposed them before things went downhill and she gave in and it would have still cost her her job unfortunately because that's usually what happens when people expose the corruption of the powerful, but she wouldn't have been unfairly slandered the way she as been until now and that idiots will continue to do so going forward. Just because she was coerced into sexual situations with a lot of her peers doesn't make her any less of a human being. She was a victim, but she was also a adult who knowing made bad decisions. Don't defend what she did, but defend her as a person because she didn't do anything really bad. She was just unethical.

Black cops are, for lack of a better term, groomed to be as racist in their policing as their white coworkers.

It's entirely within the realm of possibility that this woman got conditioned and pressured and groomed by the culture behind the blue line to have engaged in that behavior.
