Ramadan doesn't let you have WATER?
<___<
People have to go to work and they're denied water?
Question: Do you break fast if food and water accidentally falls into your mouth? If it happens by accident, that is a gift from God.
If it happens by accident, that is a gift from God.
Or what about when you accidentally slip and fall on someone's penis?
Yes, no food or drinks from sunrise to sunset.
Not even allowed to be angry or getting injured iirc.
Not allowed to get injured?!
theists to athiests: i respect youBolded literally doesn't happen half the time. Atheists are distrusted and actually face discrimination even here in the west, to say nothing of more... devout countries.

Here's the rules.
Ramadan is suppose to be a struggle. The funny part was I learned from my friend who is Muslim that you're not even suppose to get angry, but my Muslim coworker just always constantly complains and bitches about it while it's happening lol.

Are these rules in the Muslim holy text or were they made afterwards. Like how the seven deadly sins are in the Bible as the seven deadly sins. They are in the Quran, in the Al-Baqarah chapter.

Yep, at lest that's what I got from the @_teep topic. The point is struggle so that you can relate to and understand those who are worse off and have very little. It's intended to create empathy and compassion.Exactly.
Exactly.
The requirements that people are portraying in a negative or mocking way ('you're not even allowed to get angry'), are actually beneficial (working on kindness and understanding).
Ramadan is a struggle, but it is an experience which strengthens your relationships with God and your family.
The opposite of anger is calmness, not kindness.Who said it was? Being kind is an alternative response to getting angry.
Does anyone know a good English translation of the Quran? This Ramadan stuff has me curious to read it. I kind of always wanted to read the Quran, but these kinds of convos have me really thinking about it. I'm a Christian, I guess, I don't know anymore. Anyways, I believe the Torah, Bible, and Quran are parts do a greater whole. Heck I believe all religions are connected to GOD, even Buddhism. Getting way off topic, but I tried searching and the first thing that pops up on Google seems kind of iffy, I'll get it if I have to but if anyone here has a personal version they read or know others who read on, would be a big help. The Oxford World's Classics trans. M. A. S. Abdel Haleem.

I don't know what point you think you were making.
