Broccoli is designed to be eaten, even though to kids they think its poison. no parents feeds their kid veges to make them sick, intent is a good diet
Again it comes down to intent, her intent was to make the bully feel discomfort to stop him from stealing her sons lunch.
and obviously the school should be handling bullies, but they dont.
she made a salad dressing dude
Parents forcing their children to eat broccoli should probably be on a look out for an onslaught of court cases then.To be fair, we probably should.
Her mistake was talking to the police. She shouldn't have admitted shit about her intentions. Maybe her son just likes super-electrolyte infused Gatorade on occasion. He can drink what he wants even if it is kinda gross.admitting that she made the drink knowing the bully was going to steal it was a mistake. Play dumb, deny all knowledge of the drink being weird. How are they going to prove intention without a mind reader or a time machine?!
Only thing I could consider is an allergen to lemons possibly? Only way I can see this leading to the hospital, but sadly the mom did cross the line by using a gross homemade drink. It wasn't intended to make him sick.
And this does meet the standard of poisoning even if non lethal, as this could be seen as intent to injure by making him sick.
this from Texas law
So I'm not clear. Was the bully tricked into drinking this or not?The bully steals the kids lunch a lot. So he was "Tricked" by his own bullying.
admitting that she made the drink knowing the bully was going to steal it was a mistake. Play dumb, deny all knowledge of the drink being weird. How are they going to prove intention without a mind reader or a time machine?!By the fact it was in the container? Because one way or another the victims here are going to get in trouble be it the parent or child.
Generally speaking, you can't do the sitcom "oh I'll just poison the food getting stolen" because you legally can't poison people.
Full stop.
Like, punish the bully, obviously, but this ain't it.
Drizzt is right, though. To an extent though at the same time that could have easily just been made to be a vegetable shake or something put into a none clear thermos and it would still serve the same purpose and the fact is if they are stealing drinks then as long as its not harmful there is no foul. Hell even with allergies.
"Full stop" lmao"Full stop" is one of the CE buzzwords/phrases you see a lot.

Good mom
Then youre just arguing in bad faith. Its the most reasonable position since its the most likely truth. Arguing otherwise is whats actually bad faith.
Im sorry if you had a bad experience of school. I also wont deny that there are instances out there of schools absolutely failing the students when it comes to bullying.
However, assuming thats the case with absolutely no evidence to support it is not a tenable position.
Are you gonna refute what he said or are you going to continue being assmad over two wordsI don't care what he said. I just chimed in that "full stop" is one of those CE-isms.

Doctor approved laxatives are probably the best choice. That one absolutely would be considered poisoning.
Its absolutely not. You just want it to be because it suits your narrative.
Its just as likely that the school has been told and has used appropriate sanctions, or that the victim hasnt told the school because it implicates him in situations where his behaviour wasnt great, or any number of other scenarios.
I work in schools. I know how they operate. You seem to be basing your entire position off of a bad experience youve had.
Basically bullying for the teacher is considered low priority, while wearing the right clothes and going the right way through corridor is top priority.
And even then they should concern if the bully gets a taste of their own medicine.
Once the victim takes action, then the teacher target the victim instead of the bully.
Stealing I can't comment on that, I don't recall anyone stealing.
I feel like it would've been easy for the mom to not have gotten in trouble. Like why didn't the bullied kid just tell the school that he made the concoction and didn't think anyone would drink it. Like did he just tell on his mom?Pretty much. Though arguably the biggest issue would be proving things.
I am aware that every school is different, but from what I have seen the teacher cares more about clothes than bullies.
If a person uses a clothes that isn't school related, then they are not allowed to go to school. They will get sent home.
If a student goes through a corridor that is one way, they can get into trouble and even detention for going the wrong way.
A teacher can go any direction without any problem.
A student bullying others they only get told off and nothing else. Telling the teacher over and over nothing happens.

My point is the victim shouldn't feel the need to take action if the teacher does their job.
It's not tampering because the kid didn't offer it to the bully. The bully willingly chose to drink something they knew wasn't theirs. Tampering implies the kid offered it.
Doesn't matter. This is lemon juice, salt, and vinegar. Nothing was "spiked", it's not "literal shit". You keep saying "with intent" but to what? Certainly not to harm because no one was harmed.
She tampered with it with intent.
She knew the bully would take it, so she spiked the drink with whatever.
Itd no different than if you make lunch and take it to work. You made a sandwich with literal shit on bread because you know someone else is stealing your lunch. Bam tampering with intent.

As somebody who works in schools, I refute your claim which youve provided no evidence for while asking me for evidence, despite me clearly having more extensive experience than you.??? I dont care what reaction you have. I stated my opinion on the topic and you disagreed. I know that Im right and Ive seen nothing to convince me otherwise. My opinion is based on decades of news articles of similar shit to this, its the same everywhere. Youre only looking for an argument, I never told you to do that.
Theres no way you dont see the hypocrisy there. I thought you were just jaded from a bad experience but I can see now that youre just trolling for a reaction, so were done.
If you steal my lunch, and later in the week I add a ton of spicy peppers, will I get in trouble? If they get a tummy ache apparently so.
