The Spider was created to capitalize on the success of the Shadow.

Since Batman was inspired by the Shadow, and Spider-Man was inspired by another character who was inspired by the Shadow, that means that Batman and Spider-Man are uncle and nephew respectively.

To be fair, a fishbowl could be a lethal trap if a spider is unable to cling to the inside walls or if it's full of water and they drown.

Kraven ---> spiderman but he's just a dude. uses nets like webs. tracking for spider sense.
Shocker ---> another engineer like peter. builds shock gauntlets instead of web. peter parker but he's bad.

Venom as a bio-agent is a predator for a spider, and not something a spider produces?

Someone else mentioned sandman.

Pretty sure Vultures don't eat spiders, even big ones.

Magicians like Mysterio might step on spiders, but they aren't out there hunting them for prey... or is Penn Jillette taking the desert bus to feast on tarantulas?
