I'm guessing this is just a joke but still if you enjoy it then good for you lol I mean the steak loses flavor by cooking it so long and then you hide what's left of it by putting ketchup on it. You might as well just have a burger.

I like steak, I don't get excited and cream at the thought of a steak dinner, but I enjoy it.

I also think blood and pink meat is disgusting. Cook that shit. Don't burn it or anything... but it's just a cut of meat. Cook it and eat it how you want.

I used to eat my steaks well done because i was scared it wouldnt be cooked thoroughly if its rare or more. I mean its a thick steak.

After i found out how the steak is cooked and cookin it myself, i found medium to be my liking.

I used to eat medium rare because of the hype. Now straight up medium is the best since it's still juicy and isn't a mushy mess getting red shit all over your potatoes

I don't mind a little charring... that's part of the flavor of the meat and preparation.
I find uncooked and under-cooked meat gross and in taste and texture...

Some people feel the exact opposite and we are both right.

my thing is, unless you only eat filet mignon or something, why pay a premium for a steak cut when the end result is virtually indifferent from far less expensive cuts of beef than what we call "steak"

filet is about the only traditional cut i can think of that still largely differentiates itself from other cuts regardless of cook temp (through tenderness not flavor)

but ribeye/strip/sirloin/a fuckin rump roast sliced 1.25" thick? all taste pretty much the same when cooked well, but vastly different at medium or below
