Why do you lot appear to think Trump has it in the bag? You seem so confident, I'd love to hear why, specifically.

People like @pretzelcoatl for example seem very confident in a Trump victory. Can you explain why? With the way some of you speak, it seems like people would be silly to expect otherwise, so I'd love to know the logic behind these claims. Tickle my knowledge bone please!

they were confident in '20 as well even after trump got destroyed by biden and somehow managed to lose literal georgia. they don't live in reality and only listen to 'news' that parrots what they want to hear

My company has a government affairs department which definitely leans on the side of impartial/dem. The VP mentioned that - if the election were held today - Trump would win. But also mentioned that theres just so much nonsense going on with him that you never know, and anything can change from now until the election.

Bottom line is they said not to discount or rule him out.

Which goddamn, what a fucked up system is we have here then that allows a rapist, conman, swindler, swollen, Fanta Face, greedy, small handed, incoherent, deflecting, scum of the Earth, trash tier, piece of shit fuckface to have the chance to be President of the United States of America.

trump isn't getting any new voters after his redneck insurrection and multiple criminal indictments. it is possible that he could win, but he will need depressed turnout to have a chance and idk if we will see the same people who continue to repudiate trump and the far right republicans who gutted women's rights in every single election just decide to sit at home in this election.

with trump on the ballot i just can't see apathy winning the day. there is a world of difference in people being lukewarm on biden and those same people not caring enough to vote out the guy they have been setting midterm records to vote against

if gop nominated a semi normal person who isn't a dyed in the wool extremist i could see them winning, but americans hate trump and his ideology, and no one is forgetting how he destroyed abortion rights and was the most flagrant criminal potus of all time.
