SteamDB says last year it did the same special on the same day, so I guess there's some significance to it. It didn't have a half-off sale (or better) all year besides 2-26, so now's the time to pounce if you want it on Steam.

Ive sunk over a 1,000 hours into that game, its worth every penny and more. Not to mention theres still a big update coming soon despite the game already being pretty damn big

No one knows for sure yet, originally it was supposed to be a bunch of endgame stuff, but it got delayed a lot and CA said its best to start a new game, which implies a good amount of early and midgame stuff as well.

Everyone should get Stardew Valley. The updates all have enough content to qualify as full-on expansions, but they're all free. They typically implement things fans have requested.

One crucial tip for beginners: Only upgrade your watering can when the weather channel predicts rain, since it takes all of that day and the next for it to be upgraded. Also wouldn't recommend the beach farm for beginners. It's mostly sand, which sprinklers don't work on, and the dirt patch has rocks and logs that need axe and pickaxe upgrades to break.

Default/Original if you aren't willing to use mods, the second Extended one if you are willing to. The default is great as an all-around farm that is just generally really good for doing anything. Extended takes that about ten steps further and is the most fun farm by far, but is a mod farm.

The regular farm has lots of open space for you to do whatever you want with, hilltop has a nice aesthetic and a mini-quarry, forest has respawning hardwood stumps and forage spawns, and four corners is good for multiplayer or separating your different operations.

1.6 will add another farm type, but no details have been released.

Stardew is one of the best games I've ever played, especially in multiplayer. It's extremely content rich and you can make it even bigger with mods.
