Never played Riptide, but Dead Island 1 is an absolute classic. So many fun moments with friends in co-op.

Never played Riptide either, but I just finished a Dying Light replay. If I hadn't gotten My Time at Portia, I probably would've jumped right in.

Anyone know how this game stacks up vs. Dying Light 2? Saw a review saying Riptide was better and it got me thinkin'.

Idk if you know but Techland developed Dead Island 1 and Riptide, but abandoned the series afterward to make the Dying Light series. And that was the beginning of Dead Island 2s development hell

I've played a little bit of Dead Island (got past the gas station level), but never beat it like I did DL. DL1 has an insultingly bad story -- truly horrible, in fact. I mean, the secret agent they send in is bushwhacked by thugs immediately, then gets bitten like a dumbass, then destroys the huge supply of medicine he could've used instead of having plot-induced zombie seizures, etc . I'd be surprised if DL2 was worse than that, but doing co-op and having parkour run-and-gun entertainment smooths over some of the misgivings for me.

But I didn't regret the time I played Dead Island, so hopefully Riptide learned some past lessons and got even better.

I liked riptide but dead island 2 looks so much better.

Didn't care for dying light at all.
You aren't even really reading my posts; you're just staring at your e-mail client and fondly reminiscing about that hobo you stabbed to death. :P

Yeah me too, you got 4 characters with different unique abilities to customize and dying light you just play as chris redfield. Dead island 2 with the godawful card pick system from fallout 76, no real open world just small zones, zombie fury no unique abilities , I'll just stick with the first game
