I heard it's your typical dad tv type of action show, but I'm hearing a lot of good word of mouth about it. I wonder if there's more to it.

It's not deep, the main character is a hyper competent protaganist and isn't prone to failure. It's a mystery show at its core and I enjoyed both seasons. Moreso the first than the second but I liked them.
Not changing this signature until Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in my hand.

It's better than it has any right to be. If a slew of action show tropes makes you laugh then it's perfect

It's fun but the story is always exactly the same. Which is fine if you like the story beats but very boring otherwise.

Season 1 was real good, 2 was okay but a significant downgrade IMO

1st season was fairly solid. 2nd season is spectacularly mid.
It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present, and a waste to live in the future.

Show taught me that acting will always be greater than looks. Cruise might not look like a book accurate Reacher, but he's so much more believable as a military intelligence drifter than Ritchson

I watched the first episode and I noticed it too. Though to be fair Tom Cruise is just a goddamn good actor in general, so it's hard to compete.

But yeah the first episode is pretty damn interesting. But as soon as I saw the female police officer I knew immediately who's going to be his love interest lol.

Damn, i didn't think I was going to get invested in this show. This show does a good job drawing you in to its plot, even though I think it's obvious who the real bad guys are.
