Im not overweight or anything, but I just want to come in and say that eating slow is an underrated tip for weight loss. This is a really good tip.
When I was on a cut last year, I started eating a lot slower by chewing more. You will feel SO MUCH MORE satiated and eat less.
When you eat really fast, you can consume waaaay more calories. Not good if trying to lose weight.
is it true that weight loss is also more about what you eat than simply calorie counting?
Its actually the opposite, losing weight can simply be broken down by calories in/calories out. You can eat whatever you want, as long as you expend more calories you will lose weight. This is the way
no, this simply isn't true. you are not going to see the same results if you eat 1600 calories worth of ice cream a day every day as you would see if you ate 1600 calories worth of eggs, chicken, brown rice, and veggies a day every day. what you put in your body matters just as much as how much of it you put in your body. especially if you are looking to build muscle as well, which you should be if you are trying to lose fat. you gotta get enough protein to facilitate muscle repair and growth. if all you eat is sugar and simple carbs, it will send a signal to your body that will make it want to hold on to your fat stores instead of burning them for energy.
my boring ass lunch, 7 oz chicken breast doused in Franks Buffalo Red Hot sauce and veggies, been eating this daily for a year+ now lol
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/3/36f59ac1.jpgI cycle through dousing everything in Frank's, mustard and Sriracha. The sriracha isn't zero calories, but I can justify the low amount at least.

Spices are low cal and can work wonders . If you get too bored mix those upToo much. I'm lazy af when it comes to my healthy cooking. To give you an idea, I'm usually dumping a can of chicken into whatever else I'm eating and just squirting some flavor on it. My trade off for eating healthy is that I don't have to put any thought or effort into cooking
I'm at work, I just cook a bunch of chicken breasts on sundays for the week and then microwave them at the office. Not great, but I save my good tasting meals that I put effort into for dinner usually.

Benched 135 lbs today and while I wasn't able to complete my third set, it's by far the most I've ever benched so I'm proud of myself.
Had some home made sloppy joes for dinner, 500 calories and 53 g of protein, one of my favorites

First week back on the bike after the NBA All Star Break. Counting Sunday I did 100 miles and 1500 ft elevation pretty easy with weights, but my weight is basically the same at 248.
Im supposed to implement swimming this week into my training along with a ramp up to outdoor running. If I can do that, hit 100 miles again on the bike, and keep up my diet, I may see 245 on the scale this week.
Of course
Had a great day at the gym yesterday and ate pretty heathy but for w/e reason my body decided that I wasn't going to get good sleep last night so I got maybe 5 hours at best. I'm tired as fuck.
Is it normal to not be able to do as much reps in a workout than you did previously? It happens. If it's a one off, it was probably just a bad day. Could've been lots of stuff, but nothing to worry about.
Couldn't even do 2 reps of my 135 lbs bench press tonight, sadly
i grilled about 6lbs of marinated chicken breast fillets today. gonna cut em up into strips and freeze it all tomorrow. i still have some brown rice and quinoa patties in there, and i blanched and froze a 2lb bag of broccoli last week. getting my healthy meal prep done. feels good. and tomorrow i gotta go to the grocery store, and i think i've finally decided what kind of tortillas i'm gonna get for the breakfast burritos i'm gonna start meal prepping. i think the Mission brand Carb Balance Herb and Spinach tortillas should be good. they are whole grain, and low carb, but without a literal shitload of fiber (lol) that the plain whole wheat variety has, 15g instead of 25g. and they are even lower carbs. not quite as much protein though, 6g instead of 9g, but that's not bad.

I'm up to 310 from my holidays, so I gained about 6 pounds or so. Not too bad for an all inclusive for a week. XDI remember on my honeymoon, we did a cruise and I gained like 15lbs. I felt awful and few of my clothes fit properly by the end of it. 6 lbs is nothing and most likely majority water weight. Glad you enjoyed yourself though.
