From the same guy that got the right wing in a tizzy a while back when he got a job writing Popeye comics because he (correctly) stated that Popeye was canonically genderless.

As of today, the Mickey Mouse cartoon, Steamboat Willie is public domain. While all the trademarks and more recent copyrights remain in tact, I decided to do a comic that follows what happened after the steamboat docked. Ive loved Disney comics since I was a kid, but as most of them are made in Italy and later translated, Ive long given up on the dream of writing or drawing them officially.

So heres hoping Disney doesnt sue me anyway. -R.

Yes. He notes in that comic's blogpost that he always thought it was weird she wore the bikini.
