Mental and physical.

Im back at work 100%. (Been on sick leave sonce mid July, started slowly coming back, working like 25% etc).

Pretty much recovered from my herniated disc. Still can feel sore on my neck and shouldee but my arm pain has been gone for like a month.

Still have appointment with surgeons and my doctor thinks I should still have the appointment as they can explain my MRI etc better. I wont get surgery tho, unless which I doubt they still recomend one. I am seeing a physiotherapist.

We moved office location so I have started to walk to and from work. 25 min walk one way, sometimes I park closer but its then a 10 min walk.

I started back up swimming yesterday, I usually go for 60 or 30 min once a week. I went 10 mins instead, and today again. Maybe thats a better tactic for overall health, kinda forced to do many times a week as I have 7 times left of card before 27th.

Diet is better, replaced candy with fruit, not totally. I drink way less alcohol. I changed soda for a Soda Streamer, sometimes just have bubbles, often a lemonade.
I eat breakfast every day (before never).

Im changing from cigs to snus (much healthier).

As for mental Ive just finished CBT over the internet. It taught me some new things my previous therapist didnt talk about, mainly become friends with my anxiety insteqd of fighting it. And it has helped. Today I had barely any anxiety and I felt perfect my job (I have pressure on me from me to perform 120%).

Best part is all these changes is better for my economy, I save more money.

Sorry for long read. Just wanted to vent something positive!

Thanks, I hope I dont get a setback. Had too much this year, started with the police car backing on the front of my car so I had to get a new car.

Good news. Id still rec you try to quit snus as well. Its been 13 years since i quit nicotine. You just have to experience and learn to live during the times of the day when you find yourself most likely to smoke, or in your case, chew. While driving, after waking up, after eating, and after sex were the hardest parts of the day for me, but you get used to it!

replaced candy with fruit,

This is a severely underrated lifestyle/diet change. The impact it has on the human body is grossly underappreciated.

Went swimmin 4 days in a row after work. Swim and sauna. Never exeraiced consistantly and when I did it was once a week.

I didnt even know how good I could feel mentally and physically. My body feels stronger already. Obviously I knew it would have this effect but never felt it.

How's David?

And glad you're doing better. How did your disc improve? Medication or did it just need to heal?

He is good. Still adjusting on being retired from work.

Medication is just for the pain, but yeh I guess it healed on its own, tho not 100% well I can feel bit sore in my neck and shoulder but no arm or nerve pain. Tomorrow Ill have the meeting with the spine surgeon so they can explain it better.

I'm happy for you, tc. You've always been a good guy, and I hope this brings you to good guy health status. The "working with anxiety" thing is something I only recently learned myself, and it does help.
