I mean it's fairly hard to avoid some of those missile explosions and shit. You're bound to get hit one way or another. But man, like most of the difficulty actually came from the fact that I forgot the heal existed. Once I realized, it only took 2 tries, got stunned by rockets in the try after.

After the tutorial, it was a bit shocking how easy the game was overall.

The only other game I played of this style was Daemon x Machina, and honestly? This game is not that much different from DxM lmao. I mean harder and enemies that put up a bit more fight, but it'll depend on the later content I guess. DxM also let you melee a lot more freely, and it kinda felt a bit better to get up close. But of course most of the smaller stuff is significantly better in AC6, and the graphics obviously far better. But even the storytelling is super similar. You get introduced to like 3 faction of mercs with colorful characters. But most of the dialogue is cryptic nonsense

Also another thought was that to this day, the best mech controls was still that of Xenoblade X. For me, I don't need fluid controls, I just want something that feels like I'm controlling a machine. When navigating with the XCX controls and doing tricky manuevers through the landscape, it feels a lot more satisfying because my control is a bit more rigid, but it never punishes you for wanting to fly however the hell you want. Fuel is fairly liberally usable anyways

Daemon X Machina was extremely easy. The only hard thing about it was the camera being shit and trying to keep track of the weak enemy that keeps flying around and pelting you with a peashooter
Only if they made the enemies in DxM be a bit more of a threat, it would've been alright, I think. I don't remember the camera being bad though.

The mech to mech fights were a lot more fun, but the whole game was fairly booty. Tbh, AC6 early game just kinda feels pretty similar. I went through that giant fight, and it was pretty similar to DxM's bigger guys

Yeah, that one was the toughest for me so far. Took quite a few tries, but it was certainly doable.

The crafting shit in dxm turned me off of it completely. I was using the starter stuff forever wondering when I would unlock new shit to buy only to realize it needed to be crafted. Nope

I think you can like fudge getting the later weapons much earlier and without craft by taking difficult quests online and having others carry you. I doubt there's anybody still playing though

Balteus was hard. For me, the bazooka would randomly hit me cuz of the explosion on the ground, and the rate in which my missiles and pulse pistol hit was really inconsistent. Also the homing missiles felt pretty bad to dodge. They'd clip me and randomly just put me in range of stun via peppered hit.

Honestly, a lot of randomness that don't really feel reasonably avoidable. Sometimes I can make the i-frame dodge through the flames, sometimes I can't. Sometimes the melee chase does well, sometimes it doesn't. Also if you're just unlucky with the timing, the guy can get stunned, but the pulse shield just kicks in mid melee. I literally lost the kill like twice cuz of it

Took about 7 tries, on the winning run had like 90% hp and 1 heal left, even. I just said fuck it and chased his ass. He didn't know what to do, and realistically only the homing missile could hit me, or if he turns randomly and immediately bazookas.

Yeah they're not like most other companies whose games are impossible to complete because you just don't have the tools. True visionaries
