For What It's Worth and Killin Them Softly are 2 of the best stand up specials of all time
Do people deliberately try to not understand his message or do they just immediately shut everything out because he said he was team TERF?You're right, he made his feelings very clear that to him trans people are not people, they are freaks meant to be shunned and mocked by people like him and it makes him angry whenever people compare their struggles to black struggles. What's missing? That it makes him and his fans mad when people who don't agree with that message walk away from him or attack him over it?
His specials are good and he makes his feelings very clear but I feel like every post I see is ignorant of this.
Do people deliberately try to not understand his message or do they just immediately shut everything out because he said he was team TERF?What was his message
Do people deliberately try to not understand his message or do they just immediately shut everything out because he said he was team TERF?he is a bigoted hypocrite pure and simple

Dave Chappelle did nothing wrong.
Basically the LGBT community still has white privilege so his comedy isn't punching down.that is factually false
Basically the LGBT community still has white privilege so his comedy isn't punching down.So everybody in the LGBT community is white?

In my time, he's on the tier below Carlin and Rock. And from time to time I read that he's a bigot, then I watch the act in question, and the intentional absurdity, irony if you will, is clear enough. Haven't caught the last one, but it's probably the same thing.no he is just a bigoted hypocrite there is no more to it

Gonna throw a hypothetical out there for the "it's just jokes" crowd
Ill take the 132 challenge. So you are also choosing to defend minstrel shows? Because this is, in essence, a clear defense of such things.
We are capable of liking/disliking entertainment without having this obsession/fixation on culture wars wash over us. I didn't even read the post. Because i already know what it says. "Aha! Gotcha!", then calling him and his fans transphobes in some indirect way.
Top 5 comedian of all time imo
Ill take the 132 challenge."I'll take the 132 challenge, by which I mean I won't"

So... your entire post is meaningless then.Wouldn't be the first time
Damn, imagine missing his point that hard.Damn, imagine being a trumper chud and lecturing anyone on "missing the point".
In addition to the post #132 challenge, I'm waiting to hear why Chapelle being concerned his racial jokes were giving red meat to racists was valid while finding any joke transphobic means you're a snowflake who doesn't understand comedy.
We are capable of liking/disliking entertainment without having this obsession/fixation on culture wars wash over us.Chappelle seemed to lean into the culture war shit willingly. That's really more of a conservative thing in general. Can't blame anyone but him on that one.
