We cancelled the Wicked film adaptation for this, so it better be worth it.

I do love Judi Dench.

I don't know if this CG is working for me. Like, we make allowances for the fantasy of the stage because obviously people can't be cats, but this does look kind of weird.

Okay, that's definitely Jennifer Hudson's voice. I will be buying the soundtrack.

It's not a Thursday night view for me. I really will depend upon the reviews.

Yeah it seems like they wanted to be faithful to the Broadway show but also wanted it to be a CGI spectacle?

But I really think practical effects would have been better for that route. Like they clearly did that for the set design. Why not go all the way? Such a weird movie. But I guess the Broadway show was weird too so whatever.

I might go see this anyway. Jennifer Hudson was the only thing that made Dreamgirls watchable so I'm sure this will be at least as good as that.

I do overall like the tunes but I don't think the show would make a good movie. Isn't it just a bunch of different cats singing why they should be the Jellicle Cat for the Jellicle Ball for most of it?

This is...weird. The music sounds really good just going by what we heard in that trailer, but the costumes/CGI is creeping me out a bit. And I can already tell Rebel Wilson doing her standard Rebel Wilson thing in this movie is going to annoy me. I find it funny in things like Pitch Perfect, but Cats? Bleh.

Also no one's rectified this yet, but Wicked hasn't been canceled, it's set for 2021. Cats took its release date slot but that's it.
