Picked "needs more tits" just because it was an option, but I used to watch it and just lost interest about the season before Negan.

I gave up a few episodes into season 7. Ill probably catch up one of these days only because Im a completist, but my investment in the characters are too far gone.

. I really liked him. I don't feel like I've missed anything as the show is just a shit fest of violence and gore and killing characters with the biggest shock value it can. Even when I tried to watch as much as I did at the behest of my wife and son I mostly was disgusted by a lot of it.

As someone who still is a fanatic for zombie/infected genre(28 months later is finally going to happen and I'm losing my mind over it)
I find TWD to just be dreadful. It's clear that the show is trying to make the largest profit spending the smallest amount of money. They film the vast amount of the show in rural Georgia where it's cheap. They have lots of episodes where it's only a few of the top billing actors/actresses to keep episode payments down. The plot and character development have repeated itself several times over now and so many of the main characters do irrational things to keep the drama and conflict alive in the show. And to top it off some of the actors/actresses are just not very skilled at acting. Like I can feel them not being the character in some scenes because they just force the emotions so they feel unnatural.

. I know for many, the formula fatigue set in much sooner. But I viewed it more of an interpersonal drama in the backdrop of a zombie setting, rather than a primarily zombie series. Therefore a lot of the criticisms of how events played out make sense, because it's following imperfect actors/agents and the story of the outcome of those imperfect actions, rather than what someone more competent might do in that situation, which would make for a more 1-dimensional action series.
