A spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Miami told WPLG Morffi broke the contract she signed when she began teaching at a Catholic school. Her contract contained a moral turpitude clause.

Being gay is against the moral turpitude clause? Fuck these people. I hope she sues the living hell out of these people.

I'd normally agree, but even a contract can't legally bind you to do something illegal and I can't help but feel that this borders on a violation of her rights somehow.
How many people in that school wear polyester and cotton together? Or had a divorce? Just curious.

From my quick Googling, "moral turpitude" is ill-defined in a legal sense. It has a generic definition:
An act or behavior that gravely violates the sentiment or accepted standard of the community.
contract is definitely unconstitutional
Sexual orientation is a protected class.

the contract is invalid. should be an easy win if the teacher decides to sue.

Yup. That makes this an easy "fair, next".
Only applies to federal contractors. Try again.
I don't agree with a firing, but if that was a private Catholic school, I understand why she was fired.

why would I try again? If someone points out that I made a mistake, I don't keep trying.
Doesn't look like they had a problem with her being gay. she just got married to the same sex which is frowned upon and goes against the schools values. plus putting it up all over social media.

Yeah, that old tripe. Ok to be gay, just don't act like it. Hate the 'sin' not the 'sinner' and all that shit.
Oh look, Christians being hypocrites as usual. If Jesus were running the school, he wouldn't have fired her. Maybe talked to her, but put her out of a job? Nope.

Violation of contact is not wrongful termination

Its a religious school that has its own standards, whether we agree with them or not. Fuck you guys for always running to Daddy Government to push your own views on businesses. Open up your own school and Ill support you running it your way.
It's not a business. It's a religious institution.
