In America?

Specifically talking about in The United States here since this is an American website and this topic can get quite controversial in some nations like Nigeria, Chad or Japan.

Do you think there is a difference as a generalization? Or do you think that's a thing of the past as people have long since been considered equals?

No arguing or trolling please. There's been too much of that lately, just want to see where CE stands considering recent topics and attitudes.

By the numbers, yes.

In instances of equal socioeconomic status, no.

I'd have to say so. It wasn't that long ago when black people were treated as second-class citizens (and a lot worse obviously went on for a long time before that), and that has to have had a knock-on effect. When your family have had a longer time to build up wealth, they're more able to give you a good start in life and help you out later in life whenever you fall on hard times.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2015/03/26/the-racial-wealth-gap-why-a-typical-white-household-has-16-times-the-wealth-of-a-black-one/

Regardless of the reasons for it, that certainly makes life harder.

That's not even touching on any potential discrimination happening now , which I don't know a huge amount about to be honest, so I won't comment on it.
No, and I'm not white.
CE has this topic like every month and white people always win the poll as having it harder.

I believe we have just as much opportunity as anyone now. Unfortunately many do still have a lot of economic issues, and I think changing the education system would help that a lot.

This poll just asks if blacks have it harder than whites, not the other way around.

I mean I don't understand how I can be any more straightforward.

The percentage of black people who have it hard is higher than the percentage of white people who have it hard, and this is because there is a higher percentage of poverty amongst black people. In instances where black and white people are both poor, both middle class, or both rich, they have it roughly the same.

But black people are winning.

Those other polls probably didn't have 1 vote per IP on like a lot of shitty poll topics on this board

Is this because they're black? No.

i think institutional racism is mostly over with but black people are generally haven't had the chance to build capital, both financial and political, white people and other groups have so they generally have it tougher on average through no fault of their own

only roughly half of the american population thinks humans are mostly responsible for global warming.

that's not a matter of opinion either.

Not sure I agree. Argonians can breathe underwater and can't get diseased.

If anything they are the master-race.

Also why do female argonians have boobs? I mean they lay eggs....

Nope its not, its what they want to believe though. Exceptions there.
In 2000, Norad had 67 Intercepts, 100% accuracy. On 9/11 they failed 4 times in 1 day. In 2015 over 162 000 refugee's entered Sweden, 494 of them got a job.

Life isn't harder for black people.

Life is harder for inner city poor people that are growing up in violent places with shit schools and little wealth, which is disproportionately populated by black people.

I don't come from the city, and the black people from my area grew up just like everybody else did.

Yeah, thats true. A rich black kid has it a lot easier than a poor white kid.

If you want to talk in generalities, yeah, black people have it harder simply because as a whole black families are poorer than white families. But taken on an individual basis then it really just boils down to socioeconomic status.
