Poll of the Day

Poll of the Day » $20 million, but you must play a lethal game
Russian roulette, with 5 others. The revolver used has 2 of 6 chambers loaded. A trained shooter will be brought in to do the shooting.

Do you do it?

A trained shooter will be brought in to do the shooting.

So are we assuming he's a good enough shot to get an automatic kill?

Because it's not the dying that would scare me, it would be living through the shot in either intense pain or surviving with long-term brain damage or physical disability.

Snap your fingers and everything goes black? That's a fine death. It's lingering on that's scary.

Also, "$20 million, but you must play a lethal game" makes it sound like you get the money regardless, and the game only determines if you'll be alive to spend it. So does that mean you get to pass it along to your next-of-kin/designated heirs?

Because the 33% chance of dying becomes a lot less of a threat if it means your family will still be taken care of. Doubly so if you're already old, sick, or disabled to the point where your own quality of life isn't necessarily that stellar as-is. Getting the opportunity to opt-out while simultaneously making sure your loved ones will be supported might be a win-win for a lot of people (hence why life insurance policies tend to have really strong restrictions for suicide).

Yes, the shooter will be making two kills.

Yes, it'd be insta-kill.

Regardless of outcome, you get the money and it can be passed on to beneficiaries.

Also:The game must be played by January 2026.

Ehh, I'd take it.

I've lived a good life, and my niece and nephew would get $10 mil each. Or maybe I'd just give them $8 mil each and give my best friend $4 mil for him and his family.

Though since my niece and nephew are young and stupid, I might try to set up some sort of trust or drip-feed sort of scenario so they don't get all the money dropped on them at once (and then blow it all on drugs or solid gold bathtubs), but get it slowly spooled out to them over the course of their life so they can just live comfortably.

Though if I'm going to be honest, my nephew would just quit work, never work again, and spend every day eating junk food and playing video games, because that's pretty much his dream life.

Sure it means I'd die shortly before turning 49, but I'm kind of on my way into the worst part of life anyway. And I half-expect to stroke out in the next 10 years or so regardless.

And there's still a 66.666~% chance I survive! In which case, I definitely die in the next 10 years or so, as I blow it all on hookers and cocaine. Whee!

I wouldn't trust these guys, that's a 4/6 chance of dry firing a revolver and that's just bad gunsmanship... it disrespects the weapon

So youre betting that youre gonna be the last man standing or they just go one round and after someone dies the game is over?

Yeah, he's not talking about the tattoo. He means turn the million into billion.
Also nah. I have a 5 year old. Can't leave her behind. And 20 mil is probably gonna be worth like 20 thousand in a couple decades lol
Last man standing no. If it was just be one of the four to not roll a bullet in a round id probably take that dice roll but 1/6 odds are too low.

This is correct. My earlier post in this topic is from days before the M tatoo topic even went up.
