We don't keep all of the Christmas decor up, but we do keep some of the string lights. They're just nice to have regardless of the season.

I agree. It's just a fun decoration. I leave the lights and trees up all year and then decorate outside and inside more during the season.

I put some solar-powered Christmas lights up on the fence, but it was such a pain in the butt that I never bothered to take them down. They lasted for over 10 years before the sun and weather finally wrecked them.
