Boy, oh boy! The Italian general election is upon us!

With the UK voting to leave the EU and Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia saying "fuck off" to them over immigration issues, it's a contentious time in Europe. Italy is well into the double-digits with their unemployment rate and has some of the highest debt in the world. Nonetheless, Brussels sees no problem letting the fourth-largest economy in the union rot, as they force them to embrace hundreds of thousands of "refugees" while their country implodes. This election, despite what some media outlets are claiming, could be make or break for the future of the EU, with the third largest member withdrawing soon and Russia positioning itself to entice Eastern Europe back into its economic sphere of influence.

The fact that the Five Star Party is winning in the poll tells me that voters here are taking this topic more seriously than posters.

I want the centre-rights to win, with Lega Nord in the dominant spot (they're probably the most likely to help cave in the fucking EU).

I give it to the Five Star Movement. The country needs a non-party to break things down and build them back up again, IMO.

I have not been following Italy anything - they've been kinda under the radar for me.

He's younger than me too. They're my second favourite party. Glad to see Italians not putting up with the Fourth Reich any longer...
