Do you consider this girl ugly?

She says she's ugly, but I think she's just very plain looking. There's nothing about her that makes me want to look away from her.

She is just am average kid. Heavy on the kid because she looks very young. As she matures her features will change. Her skin will clear.

I bet when she fixes her hair and puts on makeup she looks very different.

She seems like someone that could probably get a makeover and her hair done and be much better looking. Its a shame that women get so much pressure about their appearance though, its just one attribute of a person

She's in that stage where she's insecure and attempts to come to terms with it by seemingly-accepting that she's ugly. That way, she won't get criticised or get rude remarks when she DOES/DOES NOT try to look prettier.

It's an open secret. Young girls get criticised badly by other girls with regards to their looks not because they are ugly but because they have the potential to be really pretty or even beautiful. So they nip it at the bud.

I digress. I think she's calling herself self-depreciating terms to protect her feelings rather than owning up to her problem; i.e. low self-esteem. If she doesn't try to be pretty or be the best person she can be, she can't fail. If she won't fail, she won't feel the sting of failure, rejection and low self-worth. Win-win in situation, is the way she sees it. Sad really. She needs a role model and good people to show her that she can be so much better than she is now. (I'm aware that the vid is old)

Every person goes through this stage. No one really learns the concept of pride, confidence or self-esteem by themselves. Mostly it's taught to us by those closest to us; our parents. When babies do a good thing, parents clap and cheer. Why? Because it encourages repeat behaviour in children and bolsters their confidence to repeat said behaviour. And it goes from there.

She's bordering between plain and ugly, although I'm sure with the right make-up, style, etc, she could pass for cute. Women can be fucking magicians when it comes to transforming themselves.

She's pretty average to me. Maybe ever-so-slightly above average.

She's unkempt, not inherently ugly.
