Persona 5 is one of the most incredible and meaningful games I've ever played.
Hands down P5. I have yet to play Nier but I will soon.

I enjoyed Puyo Puyo Tetris more than Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but that's just me. Among these, I'd go with Mario.

I enjoyed NieR: Automata more than any of the others listed, and found the soundtrack to be the best besides. So that one gets my vote.

Also I stopped caring for Mario game a long time ago. If I hadn't then I would look forward to the day that I finally play the quintessential looking Mario Odyssey--I have no Switch--but still wouldn't have voted for it over NieR.

Greatly enjoyed many of the GOTY contenders, but you have Sonic Mania and Battle Chef Brigade there, but not Divinity Original Sin 2? The small amount of exposure DOS2 has gotten is criminal. Game of the decade for me. Sure it's niche, but shit. People need to give that game a chance. Sure it's hard in the beginning but suck it up and learn the game. Damn. It has a whole list of features like 4 player online, couch co op, mod support, custom campaign mode, six different origin characters with their own dialogue, almost fully voiced, character creation..this game does not get compared to the other GOTY contenders often enough. I COULD GO ON.
TL;DR I vote for Divinity Original Sin 2 and it's a crime that it's not more recognized.

Absolutely loved Zelda and Odyssey, and currenting loving Horizon. Although I'd give horizon the edge here over Zelda (just barely!).

Never played any of the others, hence they're not *my* game of the year. If... that makes sense?

Tales of Berseria. For that list though...by default its Nier as thats the only one ive played. An okay game but id be pretty sad about the year if it was the best.

Picked up P5 and Horizon recently but probably going to be a bit before i get to them. Never heard of Battle Chief Brigade and not interested in the rest.
