A string of bad days in a row and I just impulse bought a new 27 inch IPS LED screen... had been meaning to replace my monitor but was planning on waiting. Oh well. New screen is cool I guess.
Yeah but I have to be careful about it because there is a big difference between a small fun purchase and going manic and spending hundreds of dollars.
I limit it to buying small things like a new phone case or another novelty item.
I'm too poor for retail therapy so any is too much for me, but still I do it.
yep. i have a list of stuff that needs replacing so I buy things from that list. monitor was on it. no regerts until it's time to pay bills at the end of the month
Whenever I feel like I have too much money. Sure, I could put it into a savings account but I'd rather spend it on frivolous crap I'll use once and never again.
"You rat! How dare you sell me so cheap." "NO ONE CALLS ME THAT WITHOUT SOME CHEESE!"
Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.
I know I'm an unusual person. ^.^;;;
In many ways ... but, as for the one which is relevant here:
buying things, spending money, inherently
causes
anxiety for me, and more than a little. It certainly doesn't relieve any of it.
Every time, I end up worrying about how this means that I will have less money remaining in case there's an emergency or something and I really need it. Even little amounts of spending, really do add up in the end.
