Do you think it was a complete mass overreaction?

26 y/o Mohammad Khan is Suing Virgin Atlantic after claiming he was booted off the plane for "casually" mentioning 9/11!!

He was escorted of the flight from London to Atlanta, Georgia after a "massive overreaction" by cabin crew!!!

He's a business graduate and claims it was racially and religiously profiled

It happened when an air stewardness and another passenger while the plane was taxiing on the runway in January 2016

He said that the passenger complained how long it took to get through security at the airport. That's when Mohammed said "there's been more security since 9/11" and then asked the stewardness "i bet your job has changed since 9/11"

Then the air stewardness was STUNNED and TERRIFIED as the flight TURNED AROUND straight away and back at terminal where police shoved him off the plane

He said "I was racially and religiously profiled. It was a complete overreaction to completely innocent and harmless comments. I know this would not have happened if i was a white man in his 60s who had done the same thing. It totally ruined my trip and i felt humiliated"

Virgin Atlantic did nto charge him for the fuel or 2 hour delay as they knew he was totally innocent.

He also said that Virgin said he could get on the next plane provided he paid so he couldn't understand why they couldn't understand why they let him back on the plane.

Mohammed was on the first part of a journey for an interview of a business internship in Medellin, Colombia and has been fighting for compensation since..

Virgin said they can confirm they escorted him off after multiple customers and crew reported highly inappropriate comments concerning security and are still working with him over compensation

Do you think it was a mass overreaction? let's see what people think

Mohammed - Suing

To the couple of ppl that don't think everyone lost their minds, explain to me how this is a reasonable reaction. Genuine responses welcomed.
Mod me? You don't even know me!
Oh look another moron who says stupid shit to get a rise out of people or try to make a quick buck by suing.
Of course he's being racially and religiously profiled, but that's because people of his race following his religion did 9/11.

That shit was an international disaster and there is very little airline crew can do to predict terrorism so any little thing is more than enough to get people on edge. People need to be a little more socially-aware so they don't cause undue distress.

Because the case is almost guaranteed to be a fraud. Keep in mind that not that long ago we had that Youtube prankster jump up and shout crazy shit who claimed he was racially profiled and pretended it was over something else.

Even if his whole intent was in the hopes of a massive overreaction just so he could sue, it doesn't change that the massive overreaction still happened even though it should not have.
Who's your favorite character from "Bend It Like Beckham"? And you can't say Beckham.
It's almost like people have no clue how to travel on private transport. I'm always the one that "randomly" gets inspected before flights, I'm a big and mean looking fucker so I understand. If I were working security, I'm definitely a person I would point out for a random inspection. How many times have I been kicked off a flight once I'm on the plane? Zero.

I'm not there to chat up stewardesses, or get to know other passengers while casually mentioning terrorist attacks. I'm there to get from point A to point B as quickly as a person that doesn't own their own plane can.

You are travelling with the public, it's public transport. Private transport is your car or your private jet or your bicycle. The key is the word "your", private transport is private to you.

Ok, fair point. I bungled the terminology.

The idea I failed to convey is they own these these planes, opposed to something like a public road.

Completely innocent and harmless comment - Yes. But not an overreaction. It doesn't matter what your age, race, or religion are. There are certain things you don't say on a plane. This one of them.
