I mean, they're still legal tender, but I'd still have to keep finding them until I have fifty of them, roll them up, and take a trip to the bank to get rid of them, and that's just too much time and effort for fifty cents.

Depends. If I'm bored I might. But usually it has to be at LEAST a nickel before I'll bend over to pick it up.
Internet forum logic: When my opinion agrees with yours we're good. When it doesn't, the one with the different opinion is 'whining'. Gotta love the internet!

No; money is generally disgustingly dirty and I have to wash my hands (waste time) afterwards. Also not even worth it from a time perspective.

My grandma said if it's tails up you need to put it in your left shoe to get rid of the bad luck for the rest of the day. I do just that, because my grandma is awesome.

I used to put two pennies on the ground at the entrance to my work, one heads up, one tails. It was an interesting social expiriment to see how many times the heads up was picked up and not the other.
Nobody is perfect. Well, one guy was but we killed him.

Yep. I went through a dark time in my life years ago when I was poor (and I don't mean can't-afford-cool-brands poor) and for a mercifully brief spell, I was homeless. Grabbing free money has been a bit of an ingrained reflex ever since.
