Think about it, at a previous E3 Iwata had no problem saying they are working on a SSB without showing anything, and they did that for Pokemon in this direct

To be fair, most thought Nintendo had completely given up on this series at this point, so just learning that there is a possibility that Metroid will return to form is very exciting for a lot of people.

Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony all had solid showings I think, but nothing amazing. Prime 4 bias means I have to side with Nintendo though.

5. Seeing Metroid come back is great and I am already hyped for Xenoblade. Still not enough for me to buy a Switch.

I didn't see any of the presentation -- basing this question on what TC wrote, what did they show that wasn't announced like six months ago at the Switch direct?

Ubi > Devolver > Nintendo > Microsoft > EA > Sony > Bethesda

Nintendo was average. The way everything was presented lacked energy or commitment, the only thing that really impressed me was Mario Odyssey. No mention of Virtual Console, Animal Crossing, Wii Sports-esque title, accessories, sales numbers, manufacturing increases, etc... I would rate Microsoft above them except the $500 XbOX price deflated all excitement for what they had to show. Sony only avoids last place due to Bethesda being such a mess.

I agree with this pretty much 100%. Mario Odyssey is looking good and there is just no info on Prime for me to get excited

Lol and most doubted that because they did Pokemon direct a few days before e3 that wouldn't say anything about another Pokemon game during e3 but it happened anyways.

Pretty good.

Still not getting a Switch until games are out, but I was telling people before, Switch is going to be the greatest Nintendo console ever because they don't have to split their resources.

Disappointed that the new Metroid is Prime 4 (I kind of wish they would make Metroid 5 and end the main story already), but at least it isn't federation force.

Kirby and Yoshi's Island sound good as well. That plus Mario Odyssey is enough to justify a Switch purchase for me.
