There's a limit to that greater good sorta sentiment. Pretty sure if they came to aid with good intentions, nobody would be stupid enough to crack a source of power. What if somebody came to your house, say they wanna place their fridge there, but you can use it as long as there's space. And they're free to just go into your house to grab whatever they need, but they also filled the fridge to the point you can't use it.
You also don't know how to open that fridge. It's just taking up space, and you haven't even consented. But that fridge can feed... I dunno, some employees at a big company.
This is a misrepresentation because that isn't how energy (or the food in your example) is distributed. The power doesn't only go the the company. Anyone is allowed to purchase the service. The factory would pay to use the power grid, they would employee workers to make products that would be circulated locally. The workers would take home pay that they could use to buy electricity to raise their standard of living.
Instead they destroy the solar panels.
Gotta admit, every single sentence in this post is utterly hilarious. Good show, buddy.
