Gentrification is the biggest hypocrisy for white liberals.
all the areas in Brooklyn that used to be affordable and spanerse are now occupied by the yuppie hipsters who complain about this very subject.
they all move in and pay well above asking to live in a hip part of the city. Thus jacking the price up from what was affordable to current occupants.
downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg are prime examples of this.
