At best, we are returning to the era of prohibition. We know this doesn't work.
At worst, the administration is taking advantage of a public health panic to distract from the very real crises of opioid addiction, gun violence, racial disparity, and anti-immigrant attacks and wrongful incarceration.
This ban will never go through. And if it does it will hurt American businesses, ones that are at least providing an incremental alternative to cigarette addiction (to our youth and otherwise), and it will hurt American health outcomes.
It's really shameful to make vaping an issue before the rest but here we are. Don't buy the hype.
