Replayed Mega Man 2 and 3 recently, it got me back into my love of 8 bit Mega Man music. This is always a subject worth discussion, I feel. The themes from Dr. Wily's Stages 1 & 2 in Mega Man 2 and the intro theme from Mega Man 3 are still amazing. In terms of robot master level themes, I've always really loved the theme from Bubble Man's stage. There's a kind of melancholy feel to it that adds an interesting layer. Of course, one could go on at length about amazing robot master themes in not just these two games but any Mega Man game.

And of course, whenever I get back to listening to some 8-bit Mega Man tunes, it's not long before I start listening to The Megas again. Song of the moment from this band for me is their take on Snake Man's theme, "Walk Away from Light."

In other news, I just obtained Mega Man Zero for the GBA which I've never played before--would those of you familiar with it say that the quality of music holds up well to the rest of the franchise?
