Im a bit nicer to the series.

episode 1: decent popcorn flick. Nothing great but nowhere near the level of hatred it gets. Jar Jar is not more annoying than C3PO.

episode 2: garbage. It isnt even a self contained movie. It is a pilot episode for the TV show. There is one good scene where Anakin is crying over what he did to the sand people. Thats it

episode 3: um....its um.... meh. Sure it has nice action and visuals but it really is just more of the same for the prequel trilogy. Everything is too clean. The fights are video games cutscenes and it just goes all over the place.

episode 4: great. Everyone knows this.

episode 5: good, but not the best. It is clearly part 1 of a story. This and Jedi have a ton of side-quest stuff in them that could have been cut to make one film. But the stuff in this one is very well made and develops the characters.

episode 6: and this one is good, but the weakest of the original trilogy. The side quests in this one feel less integrated than in empire. I dont mind the Ewoks but I would have preferred something less blatant toy marketing.

episode 7: after the prequel trilogies it was nice to just have something that felt like Star Wars again. It had that gritty feel. This is not a utopian future. It has smugglers and dirt and grime and is broken down. It wasnt the greatest but it was a serviceable popcorn flick.

episode 8: underrated gem. Much like how originality empire was considered worse by critics and then beloved later, I expect this one to get the same treatment. See everyone wants a giant lightsaber battle with all this destruction and chaos and murder. Thats the big climax. But the Jedi are meant to be against all of that. This one movie gets that. Other movies pay lip service to the Jedi as peaceful beings of order.... after the climactic sword fight where stormtroopers and random aliens get decapitated. Only then do we get our main hero to toss the sword away and make a speech. But this one actually commits to the ideals, and all the ugly that comes with it. And thats just one part of it. This movie is not Star Wars as we are used to; its Battlestar Galactica. But its a great Battlestar Galactica movie. This one is going to get re-evaluate with time.

episode 9: absolute garbage fan fiction overreaction bs that managed to undo all 7 movies prior. Just make Kylo Ren the villain.
