But that is a terrible comparison. Of course there are more car deaths than gun deaths. There are more vending machine deaths than shark deaths, that doesn't mean a vending machine is deadlier than a shark, it just means people interact with vending machines a lot more.
There has got to be at least 1000x more car uses per day than guns. Especially if you go by each inspanidual use and not each vehicle/gun. So while cars may kill more people what matters is the rate. What % of gun use results in death vs % of car use.
