As an aside, where I grew up, it honestly did seem like people who dropped out of high school or came close to it usually had better social lives in high school, probably because they weren't stuck around the same small group of cliquey IB kids all day. Of course, now the few of them I have somewhat kept in contact with are working fast food type jobs and hate it, so I admit that part invokes some inner schadenfreude.
