in favor- the problem with prostitution is the lack of protection for sex workers from their management and customers, not the act itself. legalization is really only part of it though- you can't just legalize and move on, you have to institute a whole host of rules to ensure everyone participating in it is doing so willingly
legal, safe, regulated prostitution would also provide an outlet for some of the needs of the millions of socially non-viable men in our society who are not getting better and will not get better when their needs continue to be unmet (and whose needs cannot be met by their peers because of their social intolerability).
antisocial behavior and social isolation are a vicious cycle that create violent crime. interrupting that cycle is not the reason to legalize prostitution, but it is a potential fringe benefit.
