Do something really nice for her. Give her your copy of Legends Arceus when it comes out to show her that you're willing to postpone your happiness so she can have hers. You can get a copy for yourself next month, try a playthrough of the original Pearl in the meantime, use the team you're planning to use in PLA as a warmup to feel the contrast of the new gen
