how much did he owe out of pocket? for situations like that hospitals / states will write off the bill. no one actually has to pay hundreds of thousands for that.

yeah and in the end i'm sure the hospital wrote off the bill and he paid a few hundred dollars.
I didnt see anybody say that in the comments. We have seen proof that the hospital will charge $150,000+ for a rattlesnake bite, but can you prove that it was covered by the hospital? Thats wishful thinking.
