now that i think on it, isn't spider man the same way? We never find out what happened to his birth parents not a single storyline ever shows them and some just say they died and that's it, it's always he was with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, got his powers, went dick with them, Ben dies because of it, dedicates life to fighting crime.
