I don't really have any experience with that, but given the way the republican party is openly hostile towards them, and given how the democratic party throws out platitudes that clearly have no use other than to take advantage of the transperson's plight in order to win electoral votes, I'd say it's pretty clear that the American government at large is not a friend of trans people. And due to the heavily political nature of the topic, and how anyone who wants to try to promote the cause of transpeople has to join the sjw Thought Police, there's really no room at all for meaningful discussion. I would think people who would like to be seen as allies to trans people would be sympathetic to the fact that nobody takes this plight seriously because of all this political bullshit, but that doesn't tend to happen either. So I tend to throw my hands in the air and watch the sjw segment of the left sling shit at itself on the whole topic.
That's kind of where I end up with things. Go ahead and tell me there is a magic bullet for that one.
