It's clear most of the people living in the low end neighborhoods surrounding the strip work at the casinos doing retail, custodial, or food service jobs. Just a lot of poverty level people working as cogs for the fancy casino industry there.
The immediate surroundings areas of most big towns are exactly the same. Chicago, outer edges of LA, etc.. But the area is a lot more than just the strip. Even outside the strip, UNLV is right there. And a lot of the poverty level people dont really work in the casinos. Casinos pay pretty well and most of the positions are actually unionized. I dont think you really know about Vegas or its community
