Pray tell, what has apple done to purposely make old accessories not work?
Theyve changed the plug once, from 30pin to lightning which is usually what people are referencing.
They generally keep backwards compatibility on things for many many years. Watch bands for example, have been backwards compatible all the way from the new watches now to the first.
