No he was lame. Just a super bland bad guy that was behind everything. He wasn't funny or intimidating, and his magic was horrible. The best villain of that arc was the elf Patri aka (fake) Licht. And he's not even a real villain just a misguided antagonist. Other stronger devils have come later but haven't really been developed. There's one that's currently the main antagonist that has potential because of ties to the main cast, but I'm not holding my breath. Black Clover is still enjoyable to read though. The pacing is quick it never drags like MHA at times. I really like the artstyle too. We were talking about BLEACH and BC style reminds me a lot of that. The author Tabata uses a lot of black and very big clean action panels. MHA has another problem the art is really messy. It's great with closeup character shots or hero spreads but when people are moving fast you can't tell wtf is going on. The author Horikoshi overuses blur effects.
