In that last scene it looked like all that air power was flying in to support Godzilla. Seeing as this has Ghidorah, he's typically been the universally evil enemy of everything in the classic movies, right?
I swear I remember a classic that was like this where the three of them team up to curbstomp Ghidorah
Yeah, there was. Godzilla, Rodan, and Anguarius are squabbling like children, Ghidorah shows up and wrecks some shit. The three look up and go "wtf, this is our planet!" and proceed to give him a beat down.
The immediate sequel, the aliens have the brilliant idea to bring Godzilla to the home planet where Godzilla basically roflstomps Ghidorah on his home turf.
