This is a must. Don't be afraid to go through a few of them, you need to find one that you trust and that gets you. I've been seeing a therapist for a few years and I can honestly say she has helped me with my social anxiety and depression. That being said, I am also on medication, but I have been on these meds years before I even went to therapy and I never noticed much of a difference. The real breakthroughs I have had happened after talking to a therapist. I'm actually thinking about weening off the meds to see if I can get by without them. But yeah therapy has helped me and the best advice I can give is to find the right one.
