No one owes anyone anything but most humans sure as hell needs some kind of human contact to not get mentally ill.

But it does feel pretty nice to receive unprompted acts of kindness every once in a while though, right?

Like on Friday morning at work I was feeling particularly hopeless and how much of a screw up I am.

I didn't sit on my usual spot and I was hiding from everyone until the work started.
Some people were apparently wondering where I was and one of my coworkers told me they were worried about me.

My brain just stopped.
"They were worried about me? They do care?"
I'm always stunned when I get to hear that people do actually mention me when I'm not around.

On Monday, I'm going back to my usual spot and I'll try to work back at coming back to the break room during breaks instead of staying at my work bench.

People need to hear encouragement. Especially when they're not feeling well.

I'm not saying people should be forced to do it. It's not a genuine encouragement if someone feel like they were forced to.
