Being good and being popular are two different things though.
Twilight is not remotely good, yet, it made tons of money. Avatar was a garbage film, but also made Cameron rich enough to pay off his exs'.
Nevertheless, I've never been able to get into ST. As I said, I just find the show boring and that is every iteration I have ever tried to watch. And this is coming from someone who is a huge Twilight Zone and Doctor Who fan.
