Got a crappy cold at the moment. I can cope during the day but at night soon as I lay down start coughing so much I make myself sick and every time I fall asleep I just end up waking up a couple of minutes later in a coughing fit. Then if I do sleep I wake up with awful blocked nose and bad taste in my mouth.

Its not the cold that gets you. Its the lack of sleep.
